AJ Lee & Nikki Bella’s WWE Return Feels “Bittersweet,” Says Saraya
The OG Divas, AJ Lee and Nikki Bella, are back in WWE. But unfortunately, Saraya (aka Paige) has still not returned to the company.
She then followed that up with a full-on return to TV on the June 9, 2025, episode of Raw.
While AJ Lee made her WWE return on the September 5, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown and made her in-ring return at WWE’s inaugural WrestlePalooza event in October.
Saraya Is “Happy” With Nikki Bella And AJ Lee’s WWE Return
Ex-WWE star Saraya recently had an interview with the Toronto Sun, where she was asked to comment on the returns of Lee and Bella.
She replied that she’s very happy to see both of them return to WWE.
I wasn’t shocked about Nikki because she loves the business, and I feel like she’s just meant to be there.
Then with AJ, I was only shocked about her because I thought she would never come back again.
It took 10 years for her to come back, so it was such a wonderful surprise to see her. I’m so proud of her, and I’m so happy for her. I just absolutely adore her.
She’s my fairy godmother is what I always called her. It just feels so nice to see my girls back in the old squared circle again. I’m proud of them.
Saraya also confessed that witnessing their returns was bittersweet because she misses being with them in WWE.
“There’s a bittersweet feeling where I’m like, damn. At times, I wish I could get in the ring with them and stuff like that.
Then sometimes I’m like, no, this is their time, and they’re going to do and flourish the way they need to. But I’m proud of them, nonetheless.”
Saraya left WWE in 2022 and later joined AEW. She is not with AEW anymore and is currently on a break from the ring.
But she’s expressed her desire to be back in the ring and confirmed that she’ll start her training in January 2026.
