AJ Lee Sends Message To Ex-Champion Amid WWE Absence

AJ Lee has vowed that one iconic rivalry will never be over as she sends a message to a former WWE champion.

October 26th marked the eleventh anniversary of the final televised singles match between AJ Lee and Paige – now known as Saraya – that took place at Hell In A Cell in 2014.

AJ Lee marked the occasion on social media, sending a message to her old rival, noting that their rivalry is never over:

never over, freaks and geeks and frenemies for life @saraya

Saraya responded to Lee, echoing her sentiment:

My fairy god mother, never over

The rivalry began one night after WrestleMania 30 when Paige made her main roster debut on WWE Raw and immediately received a Divas Title match against Lee. The English youngster shocked the world when she picked up the win and the title.

The two women traded the belt back and forth throughout 2014, and it was perhaps fitting that Lee and Paige were on the same side for Lee’s final WWE match before she left the company in March 2015.

AJ Lee Made Huge WWE Return

Ten years after that last bout, AJ Lee made her stunning return to WWE, where she teamed up with her husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.

Since then, Rollins has been stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury, and CM Punk will get his chance to claim that title once again when he faces Jey Uso for the vacant title at Saturday Night’s Main Event. It remains to be seen if or when AJ Lee will be back in the ring again.
