How Does AJ Lee Look Now 10 Years After Her WWE Retirement (Photos)

AJ Lee

AJ Lee is rumored to return to WWE soon.

The Black Widow’s last WWE match took place on March 30, 2015, on Monday Night RAW at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, where she teamed up with Naomi and Paige to face Natalya and The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella).

Shortly after WWE announced her retirement due to severe neck injuries, particularly three herniated discs in her cervical spine. Despite her rising popularity and multiple Divas Championship wins, the damage to her spine forced her to step away from wrestling to preserve her health.

AJ Lee Rumored To Return to WWE To Team Up With Husband CM Punk Against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

Rumors of AJ Lee’s WWE return gained momentum in 2025 after Becky Lynch’s involvement in Seth Rollins and CM Punk’s match at Clash in Paris. Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against The Second City Saint, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. The closing moments of the match saw Lynch (who appeared in a hood) interfere and hit Punk below the belt, allowing her husband to retain his belt.

Speculation is going on in the wrestling world that AJ Lee might return to WWE to join forces with CM Punk to retaliate against Seth Rollins and his wife, Becky Lynch. It’s been a decade since the former Divas Champion said her goodbyes to the wrestling world. But she has kept an online presence through her social media account. Lee last posted herself five weeks ago with photos from her first San Diego Comic Con on Instagram.

Despite not being active in wrestling for a decade, she has been keeping herself incredibly fit. Her recent photos show her looking more muscular and jacked than ever.

AJ Lee Set To Return at Wrestlepalooza

Just a few hours ago, WWE seemingly confirmed plans for AJ Lee’s return at Wrestlepalooza on September 21, 2025. In a Twitter post, a fan expressed their desire for new AJ Lee merchandise, tagging WWE Shop to inquire about its availability, as they wanted something to wear to SmackDown in Chicago this coming Friday if The Geek Goddess decides to show up.

WWE Shop then replied that the company is trying to make AJ Lee merchandise available for the fans in time for Wrestlepalooza, confirming her return at the event. The post was deleted shortly afterwards, but by then the tweet was already viral all over social media. Moreover, there have been reports claiming that Lee’s return to WWE will not just be a one-off appearance.
