AJ Lee Could Make In-Ring Return In Special Match
AJ Lee could wrestle again before the turn of the year.
At Wrestlepalooza, AJ Lee returned to the ring for the first time in over a decade, teaming with her husband CM Punk to beat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
Lee returned to the company after Lynch had cost Punk the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash In Paris, as he appeared to be closing in on victory over Rollins, LA Knight, and Jey Uso.
Following the match at Wrestlepalooza, Lee revealed that she took the match at one month’s notice, confirming that the deal for her comeback came relatively late in the day. Despite her mix of anxiety and excitement, Lee went on to describe the match as a “chaotic fairytale.”
Since then, Lee has disappeared from view, but it seems she’ll be back sooner rather than later.
AJ Lee Scheduled For Survivor Series
Although there’s no word on exactly when she’ll return to television, it’s been reported that Lee will wrestle again in 2025.
As noted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lee will be part of the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series on November 29. According to the report, Lee will team with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss to face Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and NXT star Lash Legend.
The inclusion of Lee and Lynch appears to suggest that their rivalry will continue when the former returns to television.
The same report claimed that John Cena will challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at the same event. The Intercontinental title remains the only major title that Cena has never won.
