AJ Lee Breaks Silence On Her WWE In-Ring Return At Wrestlepalooza

AJ Lee has finally made her in-ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza.

At Clash in Paris, Becky Lynch interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship match to deliver a low blow to CM Punk, allowing her husband, Seth Rollins, to retain the title.

The Man later slapped The Second City Saint on RAW in a heated confrontation. The latter responded by promising her that she would regret laying her hands on him, sparking rumors of his wife, AJ Lee’s return.

On the following SmackDown, Lynch again slapped Punk in his hometown of Chicago. The former World Heavyweight Champion then left the ring and told her that although he would not hit a woman, he knew someone who would, signaling the return of Lee after a decade. A mixed tag team match between Punk & Lee and Rollins & Lynch was later made official for Wrestlepalooza.

Last night at Wrestlepalooza, AJ Lee and CM Punk succeeded in defeating Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins after the former Divas Champions forced The Man to submit to The Black Widow.

On the Wrestlepalooza Post Show, Lee addressed her comeback, revealing that she felt amazing after the match.

The match? It felt amazing. It was really surreal. It’s been a minute. Everything hurts way more than I remember. But that was a lot of fun.

The former Divas Champion was also asked whether she had noticed changes in the locker room and the company since she was there a decade ago.

I mean, everyone was so welcoming and so kind and so complementary in a way that made me feel like, oh! I did something and that it meant something to these wonderfully talented women. To be any tiny piece of their journey is so humbling.

I’m so proud of them, like a mama, and they’re wonderful and I’m happy to be in their presence in the locker room but, the evolution of the women has been the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. They deserved it 10 years ago, they deserve it now, they deserve even more in the next 10 years. [H/T: Fightful]
