AEW’s Viral Sensation Pays Tribute To Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry making WWE NXT entrance

Fresh off of his AEW debut at Full Gear, Big Boom AJ has paid tribute to another viral wrestling star, TNA’s Joe Hendry.

At Full Gear, Big Boom AJ defeated QT Marshall with some help from Big Justice and The Rizzler. AJ and Big Justice are best known as The Costco Guys having exploded in popularity on TikTok for their reviews of Costco food on a “Boom” to “Doom” scale. The father-son duo also released a video declaring their allegiance to the store chain that has racked up over 4.5 million views.

The pair have now hit another milestone as, according to Wrestle Ops, they featured in the third most watched pro-wrestling video clip on X (formerly Twitter) in 2024 with an impressive 10.8 million views for their AEW Dynamite debut. They were beaten only by The Undertaker’s WrestleMania 40 appearance on 11.3 million views, and Joe Hendry’s NXT arrival with an astonishing 18.7 million views.

In reaction to achieving the Number 1 spot, Hendry asked his followers how he would be able to top that number in 2025. AJ – real name AJ Befumo – responded to the TNA star to say it was a “genuine honour” to be part of the list with him.

Following his Full Gear victory, Big Boom AJ has confirmed he will appear in AEW again, although his return could take some time as he unfortunately suffered a broken foot in the hours before the pay-per-view.

Joe Hendry Still Chasing TNA World Championship

At Bound For Glory, WWE Hall of Famer JBL attacked Joe Hendry during his TNA World Title match against Nic Nemeth. The move allowed Nemeth to hit his Danger Zone twice to get the win and retain his gold.

The setback hasn’t stopped Hendry from chasing his dream, though. On Impact in Fayetteville, the star thanked fans for believing in him before confirming that his goal is still to defeat Nemeth for the World Championship.
