AEW’s Kenny Omega Fires Back At Promo Critics

Kenny Omega is The Best Bout Machine for a reason but he has a message to those that think he can only excel bell-to-bell.

For some, a great wrestler is someone who can weave technical brilliance and skills through a match while others prefer the entertainment of a showman on the microphone talking fans into a story. While fans might argue about which star falls into which category, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega thinks he can do it all – despite what gets said about him.

Kenny Omega Doesn’t Care If Fans Think He Sucks

Speaking on a Twitch stream, Kenny Omega had a fiery message for those who claim his promo skills aren’t up to scratch and touts his record-breaking abilities with a mic in his hand:

There are many times when people say, ‘Hey Kenny I can’t believe you, you’re a terrible promo’ or like cringe or whatever. I’m like yeah but I set attendance records in Japan with the types of promos that I tell. And they’ll have the gall to say that I suck when half the promo, or like 65% or 70% of the promo is Japanese, so you don’t even know what the f*ck I’m saying.

Does that count for anything? I think it does but some hump who’s probably in this chat right now is like “No way man, you suck, you’re the sh*ts, you’re a clown.’ Okay, cool, I don’t care, I’m trying to do my job, I’m trying to get people hyped for a match, I’m trying to make you cheer the good guy and boo the bad guy, that’s all I’m trying to do.

Omega has been out of action for months as he battles back from diverticulitis. However, Kenny Omega’s return to AEW TV has been confirmed and he is sure to have some questions for his former partners in The Elite after their recent actions.
