AEW’s Dax Harwood Files Trademark Related To CM Punk

CM Punk FTR Dax Harwood Cash Wheeler AEW Collision CMFTR

Though CM Punk is no longer All Elite, Dax Harwood filed a trademark related to the Second City Savior.

Ahead of the September 2nd episode of Collision, it was announced that AEW had decided to terminate CM Punk’s contract with cause after he was involved in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In the previous week. Tony Khan took responsibility for the decision, saying it was made after unanimous advice from a disciplinary council as well as legal representation.

Naturally, fans have begun to wonder whether Punk might finally make a return to WWE in the wake of his being fired from AEW, and earlier today it was reported that he does indeed have interest in returning to the sports entertainment giant. Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported:

“Regarding C.M. Punk, there is obviously tons of talk regarding him returning. There have been rumors that it’s happening, but those in WWE have only said that no deal is completed and those close to Punk have told us that it is his intention to return and the two sides are in talks.”

“One would expect if such a deal is made that Survivor Series weekend in Chicago would be the time to do the surprise return.”

Backing up that report, one WWE source reportedly indicated that it was a “safe bet” CM Punk would appear at the upcoming Survivor Series PLE in Chicago in November.
