AEW’s Christopher Daniels Told To Never Wrestle Again

Christopher Daniels suffered a brutal defeat to Hangman Adam Page and now the AEW veteran has confirmed he’s done in the ring.

Christopher Daniels joined AEW when the company launched and he was not only a wrestler, but also the Head of Talent Relations. During his in-ring career in AEW, he was part of the SoCal Uncensored group with Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky who are the first AEW Tag Team Champions in history.

At 54 years old, Daniels understandably slowed down as a wrestler since he started in the business in 1993. During his decorated career, Daniels competed for many companies like AEW, NJPW, ROH, TNA, WWF, ECW, AAA, NWA, AJPW, NOAH, ZERO1, MLW, CMLL, and more. Most people associate him with TNA since he spent most of the 2000s decade there building a stellar X-division with the likes of Samoa Joe and AJ Styles.

Christopher Daniels took on Hangman Adam Page in a Texas Death Match on the January 18 edition of Collision. The brutal and bloody affair saw Page pick up the win and it seems that might be the last time fans see the Fallen Angel lace up his boots.

Christopher Daniels Calls It A Day

On the January 22 edition of Dynamite, Daniels appeared and confronted Page, telling him that doctors had advised him to never wrestle again due to his history of injuries and those suffered in their match. Daniels apologised to Page and told the former AEW World Champion he hoped he could be happy now.

Christopher Daniels then took to social media to confirm that he’s now retired from the ring as he wrote:

I’m sad that it’s over. But so very happy that it happened. Thank you all!
