MJF Crowned The New AEW World Champion

Samoa Joe started strong before Swerve Strickland and Maxwell Jacob Friedman took over.

Joe hit them with a battering ram through the ropes, followed by Adam Page hitting a moonsault, which he overshot.

Page took out Joe with a Buckshot Lariat, leveraging Strickland. Hangman and Strickland went at it, with Page hitting a lariat on Strickland, only for Joe to break up the count.

Joe was denied three successive pinfalls by all three of his opponents.

Strickland took over by neutralizing others and hit an Angel’s Wings on Strickland. MJF struggled on the sidelines.

The Salt of the Earth collected himself and took out Hangman with a slingshot cutter. Joe applied a Coquina Clutch on MJF, but Swerve intervened.

MJF hit a Mexican Destroyer on Swerve, but was hit by Hangman’s Deadeye. The Opps interfered, as Samoa Joe hit Hangman with a Muscle Buster, only for him to kick out.

Swerve hit the Stomp on Joe, who had Page in the Coquina Clutch.

MJF interjected a sequence of Buckshot Lariats by Page on Joe, hitting a low blow. He then hit the Heat Seeker on Samoa Joe for the pinfall, making him a two-time AEW World Champion.
