AEW Worlds End: FTR Retain The World Tag Team Championship Against Bang Bang Gang
FTR and Bang Bang Gang’s journey into AEW Worlds End was a heated one.
Both teams competed twice previously, their rivalry standing at one win apiece. Their third bout at the pay-per-view was a Chicago Street Fight, where anything goes.
FTR Win Involved In A Hard-Fought Battle At AEW Worlds End
FTR dominated the bout in the early goings before Juice Robinson temporarily retaliated. Cash Wheeler hit him with a back drop off the top of the ring.
The teams introduced tables, trash cans, and kendo sticks to gain an advantage. Austin Gunn was creative, wrapping a trash can lid around his body to attack Wheeler, who was pinned to the turnbuckle outside.
Robinson bled profusely after being hit in the head with the title.
The veterans FTR attacked Robinson’s left knee with a steel chair repeatedly. Dax Harwood applied an Inverted Figure Four, expecting Robinson to tap out.
Robinson used a fire extinguisher on Harwood to get out of the submission. Stokely interfered by breaking up Robinson’s pinfall on Harwood.
FTR hit a Shatter Machine on Robinson, but the pinfall was broken up by Gunn.
Harwood and Wheeler hit a couple of Spiked Piledrivers on Gunn for the pin and victory to retain their World Tag Team Championship.
FTR (@daxftr@cashwheelerftr) have retained the AEW World Tag Team Championships!
