AEW World Title Steel Cage Match Confirmed For Full Gear

Hangman Adam Page AEW World Champion

Hangman Adam Page is going to have to survive a Steel Cage match to leave Full Gear with his AEW World Championship.

Adam Page retained his AEW World Championship at WrestleDream with a huge win over Samoa Joe. Joe appeared magnanimous in defeat, raising the champion’s hand before he, alongside his Opps teammates Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs, viciously attacked Page.

The Opps might have been crucial to helping Page wrestle the title from Jon Moxley at All In Texas, but Samoa Joe has made clear that he wants the title for himself and is hell bent on getting it at Full Gear.

The November 12th edition of Dynamite was dominated by Blood & Guts. Jon Moxley tapped out in the men’s match to hand The Conglomeration and Darby Allin a major win. The first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match ended when Toni Storm surrendered to stop her partner, Mina Shirakawa, from being taken out for good.

The show also saw Adam Page take on Powerhouse Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Page picked up the win when he sent Hobbs flying through tables and electrical boxes, but his night was not done. As the AEW World Champion marched back to the ring, he was attacked by Shibata and Samoa Joe.

Joe demanded the cage be lowered, and it started to descend when Eddie Kingston and HOOK made the save for Page. Adam Page then told Joe that if he wanted him in a cage, he needed only ask, as he made their Full Gear AEW World Title bout a Steel Cage match.
