AEW World Championship Has Its Next Challenger

The AEW World Championship is the top prize in the company currently and is seen around the waist of the newly-crowned champion, Samoa Joe, after he won the belt from Hangman Adam Page last month.

At World’s End this weekend, Joe has a huge task at hand as he has to defend his title against three other opponents following MJF’s return. He cashed in his World Championship contract, making the title match a four-way bout.

Joe will face MJF, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland at World’s End and could end up losing the belt without even being pinned. However, whoever walks out as champion out of the event won’t get a lot of rest, as the next challenger is already lined up.

Bandido won the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring tonight

ROH World Champion, Bandido, and the current AEW National Champion, Ricochet, were announced as co-winners of the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale last week, leading to their match tonight.

The two wrestlers put up an entertaining match, which the ROH World Champion eventually won, and he now has the chance to become a double champion next month.

The winner of the Dynamite Diamond Ring gets himself a shot at the AEW World Championship, which means that Bandido will now face the winner of the World Championship match at World’s End during the AEW Maximum Carnage on January 14, 2026.
