AEW Veteran Has “No Real Input” On Creative

AEW veteran Jeff Jarrett has lifted the lid on his creative input in the company.

‘The Last Outlaw’ made an emotion fuelled appearance on AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen on 1st January, bringing his boots to the ring before announcing that he would compete for one more year before pulling down the curtain on his legendary near 40 year in-ring career.

The 57 year-old former WCW Champion went on to share his desire to lift one last major title before closing out a legendary career that saw him inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2018.

Jarrett currently serves as the Director Of Business Development for AEW and has held a number of key roles outside of the squared circle over the years, including founding TNA Wrestling in June 2002. Despite holding a key Executive position in AEW, the Tennessee native has little say in his television persona.

Speaking during a recent interview on the ‘Bobby Bones Show‘, Jarrett was asked about his influence on his current creative and revealed that he was rarely involved in the decision making at present:

Very little. Very little. That’s a bit of an adjustment, good and bad. I don’t have the responsibility. It is a full-time, non-stop, juggling act. I have little to no real input. A little piece here and there, but for the most part, it’s not my ball to wack.”

AEW President Receives Negative Reaction From Australian Crowd

AEW President Tony Khan was surprisingly booed when he appeared during the company’s first show on Australian soil.

Over 10,000 fans packed into Brisbane Entertainment Center for AEW Grand Slam Australia on the 15th February in an event headlined by Toni Storm defeating Mariah May to recapture the AEW Women’s World Championship in the country she moved to aged just four.

Khan appeared at the beginning of the show to welcome the audience, but surprisingly received a negative reception from the raucous crowd.
