AEW Figure Says Triple H Critics Are “Embarrassing Themselves”
Triple H hasn’t forgotten those who helped him to the top of WWE.
On January 29, it was announced that Triple H would headline the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame.
The move seemed an obvious one for a man who won 14 World Titles, five Intercontinental Titles, two Royal Rumbles, King of the Ring, and more during his in-ring career and led NXT during its most popular run. But many online have enjoyed pointing out the optics of WWE’s top man being honored in such a way.
However, one veteran has scoffed at the idea Triple H doesn’t deserve the award while delivering a blunt message to those who don’t agree.
Jim Ross Backs Triple H Hall Of Fame Induction
During the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross heaped praise on The Game, commenting that those against the induction are kidding themselves. JR has a lengthy relationship with Triple H going back to the mid-1990s and often fondly recalls signing him to his first $1 million contract at the tail end of the Attitude Era.
“Congratulations to Triple H for being inducted, or gonna be inducted soon. Anybody that says he’s not deserving, the only reason he’s in is because of who he married is such bullsh*t. It’s weak.
If you’re saying that, stop. Stop embarrassing yourself. The son of a b*tch was the top heel in one of the hottest eras in WWE [history], and now he’s the quarterback, the head coach of that same team that’s setting records.
Give me a break. Stop it. You’re embarrassing yourself by showing your ignorance. Don’t do that. I’m happy for him. I sent him a text the other day, congratulating him, and believe it or not, it was the day after the Rumble, he texted me back. He doesn’t forget those that have helped him along the way and those that he respects, and he’s doing a great job,”
While the news was said to have come as a surprise, a new report claimed Triple H picked himself for the WWE Hall of Fame.
According to Dave Meltzer, the decision on who goes into the Hall of Fame now rests with the CCO himself following the departure of Vince McMahon in January 2024. He went on to say that he “doesn’t buy” the idea that Triple H didn’t know about the induction.
