Timeless Toni Storm AEW

It’s been a good year for Toni Storm.

It’s been announced that Toni Storm has secured the number-one spot on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Women’s 250. Jordynne Grace landed in second place while 2023 winner Rhea Ripley rounded out the top three.

The evaluation period for the 2024 list runs from October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2024. The ranking is determined by a number of criteria including win-loss record, technical ability, influence on the sport, activity, quality of opposition, and diversity of opposition.

During this period, Storm morphed into her popular “Timeless” Toni Storm character while winning the AEW Women’s Title for the third time, enjoying a 281-day reign with the gold.

While champion, Storm battled the likes of Saraya, Serenda Deeb, Thunder Rosa, and Deonna Purrazzo across seven successful defences. The star eventually lost the title to Mariah May at All In following a rivalry that earned praise across the wrestling world.

It should be noted that TBS Champion Mercedes Mone missed out on the list due to inactivity during the evaluation period.

Toni Storm Yet To Return To AEW

Following her loss to Mariah May, Storm embarked on a hiatus from AEW, although she’s continued to wrestle elsewhere. This included a short spell in Japan where she challenged Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Title.

During her break, Toni Storm also reflected on a passionate three-month love affair with Stan Hansen. Yes, really.

More recently, Storm had been due to wrestle La Catalina in her CMLL debut, but the match was postponed after the star was unable to leave Florida due to Hurricane Milton. However, the match was been rescheduled for October 18th.
