AEW Title Match Ends With 3-Way Kiss

Mina Shirakawa Toni Storm AEW

One AEW title match ended in a three way kiss at Forbidden Door as Toni Storm went to battle with Mina Shirakawa with gold and Mariah May seemingly on the line.

Mariah May is a wanted woman and not just by AEW Collision commentator Nigel McGuinness. May has been at the centre of a bizarre triangle since her long-time Stardom partner Mina Shirakawa crossed through the Forbidden Door to AEW.

May had been AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm’s ‘child’ in the company and Storm was less than impressed that May’s loyalty was being split between her and Shirakawa. Mina Shirakawa was not happy about that either leading to her challenging Toni Storm to a match at Forbidden Door for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Toni Storm Retains AEW Women’s Championship

At Forbidden Door in New York, Storm and Shirakawa clashed with the gold on the line but all eyes were on Mariah May. May had defeated Saraya on the pre-show to move on in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament leading to her trying to separate Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa before they clashed later in the night.

Mariah May presented both Storm and Shirakawa with flowers before the match and remained in a neutral corner during the match. Shirakawa put up a good fight but in the end, a Storm Zero was enough for Toni Storm to retain her title.

After the bout, Mariah May led Toni Storm over to Mina Shirakawa with the champion helping her challenger up. Shirakawa wanted a handshake but May urged the trio to hug before suggesting they all share a three way kiss which they did as Nigel McGuinness stood up and applauded.

It should be remembered that if Mariah May goes all the way and wins the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament then she will challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In.
