AEW Ties Down Ex-Champion To New Multi-Year Deal
Tony Khan has at least one reason to be cheerful as a former champion has pledged their future to AEW.
AEW is fighting a battle to keep Mariah May with the former AEW Women’s Champion just a few short months away from being a free agent. But things might have got even worse for Tony Khan in 2025.
Fightful Select reported that former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale is also in her contract year with AEW. Nightingale’s current deal is said to only have a few months left to run. Sources in the company have claimed Willow Nightingale is a priority and someone they want to keep in AEW. The current expectation is that Nightingale will stick with AEW, and many noted that it’s a “guarantee” that she will be offered a new deal.
And if it wasn’t clear by what happened on Dynamite Beach Break, Willow Nightingale is now believed to have signed a new contract with AEW.
Willow Nightingale Signs New AEW Deal
Fightful Select followed up on their original report by revealing that a new deal was struck between Willow Nightingale and AEW almost immediately after the story was published. The new deal is said to be a multi-year contract with Nightingale very happy in the company.
Willow Nightingale was part of the chaos at the end of Dynamite Beach Break, which saw Swerve Strickland make a huge Anarchy In The Arena challenge for Double Or Nothing.
