AEW Star Blasts The Young Bucks For Being Selfish
A veteran AEW wrestler believes that The Young Bucks are selfish and only do the bare minimum for the company.
Darby Allin has only been in one AEW match over the last four months. That was the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double Or Nothing when The Elite’s team of The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson), Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry defeated FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood), Bryan Danielson & Allin.
The match saw Allin use a flamethrower on Perry in what was perhaps the most memorable moment of the match.
Later in the match, Allin was hung upside down by a rope that was above the ring and beaten while in that position. The Elite ended up getting the win in the match while Allin remained hanging above the ring until it ended.
During an interview with Friday Night Fights, Darby Allin ripped The Young Bucks and The Elite as a group for not promoting AEW as much as they should.
“I just don’t like any of those guys [laughs]. Could have been any one of them. I just don’t think the EVPs, the Young Bucks and all those guys have the company’s best interest. I think they just are kind of selfish, and they’ll do the bare minimum. As long as their friends and everybody’s hired, they’re happy. Otherwise, they’ll do the bare minimum.”
“They don’t really promote the shows, they don’t do interviews. They just go home and chill out until it’s time [for] Wednesday. But I like to try to be a company guy and keep putting AEW on the map and rocking and rolling.”
Some of what Allin said there could be considered to be storyline comments, but it is true that The Young Bucks don’t do that many interviews compared to others in the company.
In the same interview, Allin also confirmed that he was coming back on AEW Dynamite episode 250 on July 17th.
The Young Bucks To Defend AEW Tag Team Titles Against The Acclaimed
Matthew and Nicholas Jackson aka The Young Bucks have been AEW Tag Team Champions since April and have not defended the titles once in the last three months. They lost to The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) on the June 19th edition of AEW Dynamite in a non-title match, which means that The Acclaimed will receive a title match against The Young Bucks.
That title match between The Young Bucks and The Acclaimed could come at AEW All In on August 25th, but it’s not confirmed yet.
