AEW Announces Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match
Things are about to get extreme on AEW Dynamite.
Since Jeff Jarrett joined AEW he has not been afraid to mix it up in all manner of matches, taking part in No Holds Barred bouts and even a Concession Stand Brawl with Mark Briscoe but now the stakes are going to be even higher for The Last Outlaw.
On Rampage, it was confirmed that Jeff Jarrett will clash with Jeff Hardy on the 16th of August edition of Dynamite in a first-time-ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match. The bout is in conjunction with the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game and Jarrett has even hinted that Leatherface himself could make an appearance.
In conjunction with @TXChainSawGame, THIS WEDNESDAY on #AEWDynamite, the FIRST-EVER Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship will go down between @RealJeffJarrett and @JEFFHARDYBRAND!

Despite both men’s history in the company, Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy never clashed in one-on-one competition in WWE. The only time the star’s paths crossed in that company came when Jarrett teamed with Owen Hart to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Hardy Boyz back in March 1999. Although the two men clashed several times during their runs in TNA.
What else happened on AEW Rampage?
Darby Allin built some momentum heading into his tag team match at All In as he picked up a victory over Brian Cage. Saraya defeated Skye Blue to book her place in the four-way match for the AEW Women’s Title in Wembley Stadium, and Orange Cassidy retained the AEW International Title against Johnny TV.
Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions Aussie Open defeated The Outrunners and after the match, they accepted MJF and Adam Cole’s challenge for a title bout at All In.
