AEW Teases Return Of Major Star
An injured AEW star is close to a return.
On the September 6 episode of AEW Collision, Big Bill set his sights on a new target.
After all, as he delighted in telling the Philadelphia crowd, he’s from New York, where real tough guys come from. Just like another proud AEW star.
“I come from a place where real tough guys are made. New York City. And there’s another guy here in AEW from New York City, who claims to be a tough guy. He loves to run his mouth. But I haven’t heard from him in a long time. I haven’t seen him in a long time. Hell, I don’t even know where he’s at.
So I’m officially calling you out. Eddie Kingston.”
Eddie Kingston Ready For AEW Comeback
In the most recent update from the man himself in August, Eddie Kingston revealed that he wasn’t medically cleared to return, despite feeling like he was ready. He said that while he felt good, his PT had given him some things to work on.
During the same period, the Mad King expressed his disappointment at having to miss AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Eddie Kingston has been out of action since suffering a broken leg and torn ACL and meniscus during a match with Gabe Kidd back in May 2024. During the bout, Kingston took a suplex from the apron through a table at ringside; however, his leg smashed into the steel guardrail in the process.
In less positive news, it’s been confirmed that Jay White will miss the rest of 2025. Although he didn’t provide any details, Tony Khan had suggested that Switchblade would be missing for a long time.
