AEW Teases Launching Own Streaming Service
AEW might be one step closer to launching its own streaming service.
AEW content currently streams on HBO MAX in the United States, with the company’s weekly shows airing on TBS. AEW signed a massive new TV deal in 2024 that will keep them working with Warner Bros. Discovery for the next few years.
But now, it looks like Tony Khan’s company could be preparing for its own foray into the streaming world.
AEW Launching Streaming Service?
A new filing has been made with the United States Patent & Trademark Office for the phrase “WATCH AEW”. The details of that filing hint at a streaming service, noting that it is for:
Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling television programs; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling; Providing television programs, not downloadable, via streaming transmission services; Providing non-downloadable videos in the field of professional wrestling via streaming transmission services
Tony Khan’s other promotion, Ring of Honor, currently airs its content on its own Honor Club streaming service.
AEW Full Gear will be available for fans in the United States on HBO MAX. That show will see Hangman Adam Page defend his AEW Men’s World Championship in a Steel Cage match against Samoa Joe. AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander will put her gold on the line against the belt collector Mercedes Mone.
