AEW Tease Date For First-Time Bryan Danielson Dream Match
Will Ospreay did his best to steal the show with Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution but now it seems AEW star Bryan Danielson has his sights set on the newcomer.
Will Ospreay signed his AEW contract in the ring at Full Gear but fans had to wait several months for the star to arrive as he finished his commitments with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
At Revolution, Ospreay was competing in an AEW ring for the first time as an active member of Tony Khan’s roster and he and opponent Konosuke Takeshita delivered an incredible match. Will Ospreay picked up the win over his Don Callis Family brother and on Dynamite in Duluth, Georgia he was in action again.
Ospreay took on another member of The Don Callis Family in Kyle Fletcher with Ospreay picking up the win yet again thanks to his Hidden Blade. After the match, however, Ospreay’s next plans may have been revealed as Bryan Danielson made his way to the ring to get a closer look at the English star.
When Will Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay Take Place?
While the two men locked eyes, perfectly centred between them was the logo for AEW Dynasty and the date of that event. AEW’s newest pay-per-view event will take place in St. Louis, Missouri on April 21st.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he believes a showdown between Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson will be happening soon in perhaps another indication that it will go down at Dynasty:
I know 100% for sure, that match is happening relatively soon. I have been told that it’s something Tony Khan has been wanting – it’s like the dream match of all dream matches probably for him. But this match is happening.
As of now, no matches have been announced for AEW Dynasty but marketing for the event features several of the company’s current champions such as Samoa Joe, Julia Hart, Roderick Strong, and Toni Storm.
