AEW Talent Signed To Contract “Quite Some Time” Ago

AEW Logo over roster

AEW likes to announce new signings with their famed “All Elite” graphics but one talent who has not yet had that treatment is believed to be signed to the company.

EJ Nduka previously had a spell in WWE where he was part of the NXT roster, competing in two matches for the brand back in 2020. Following that, The Judge went to MLW where he held the MLW Tag Team Championship with Calvin Tankman.

Nduka made his AEW debut in January 2023 when he lost to Konosuke Takeshita on an episode of the now-canceled Dark.

Fightful Select has now reported that while no announcement has been made, EJ Nduka has not been a free agent for some time after signing with AEW following that debut bout. Nduka has not wrestled since but there was said to be interest in the star including from WWE.

The report noted that when former SVP, Head of Talent Operations & Strategy James Kimball was fired by WWE, a lot of potential hires that he was looking at were not pursued. There was no confirmation of the level of deal Nduka has with AEW or for how long it lasts. It also remains to be seen when Nduka will return to the ring.
