AEW Talent Out For Months After Surgery

Wheeler Yuta vs. Anthony Henry AEW Collision

An AEW star won’t be back in the ring for several months.

On the October 10th episode of Honor Club, Anthony Henry challenged Gabe Kidd for the NJPW STRONG Openweight Title. Despite a competitive outing, Kidd retained the gold but things went from bad to worse for Henry.

Shortly after the match was taped on October 3rd, Henry revealed he’d torn his biceps off the bone. In an update on social media, Henry noted he’s undergone surgery and is now looking to the future.

Henry has been a regular in Ring of Honor for much of 2024, with his last AEW outing coming on the September 14th episode of Collision.

Adam Cole Makes AEW Return

While Anthony Henry won’t be back in the ring for several months, long-time absentee Adam Cole finally returned to television at WrestleDream.

Cole had been essentially out of action since suffering a broken ankle while coming to the aid of MJF at Grand Slam in 2023. Although Cole initially remained on television before being revealed as The Devil at Worlds End he then took a lengthy break.

The star eventually returned at Double or Nothing only to be attacked by MJF. Following the assault Cole took another hiatus.

At WrestleDream, Cole came out to a huge ovation while looking for revenge on MJF. However, as he approached the ring MJF headed for the hills.
