AEW Taking Dynasty To Brand New Location In 2025
More details about AEW Dynasty have been announced.
On February 15th, AEW will head to Brisbane, Queensland for the first time for Grand Slam: Australia. While the show isn’t a pay-per-view, many of the company’s biggest stars will be in action with Toni Storm’s match with Mariah May for the Women’s World Title already announced.
Off the back of Grand Slam, the promotion will then land in Los Angeles for the traditional first PPV of the year Revolution. In 2024, the event saw the retirement of The Icon Sting.
It’s now been confirmed that Dynasty will also be back in 2025.
Plans Confirmed For AEW Dynasty
In a post on social media, AEW confirmed that Dynasty will be held on April 6th, at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although ROH Supercard of Honor was held at the venue in 2024 and AEW held TV tapings there, Dynasty will mark the first All Elite pay-per-view in Philadelphia.
As announced by @phillysport this morning, #AEWDynasty PPV is coming to Philadelphia on Sunday, April 6 at the @LiacourasCenter! This marks the first #AEW PPV to be held in Philadelphia.
General on sale tickets will be available on Monday, February 3 at http://AEWTix.com
The first Dynasty event took place in 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. In the main event, Swerve Strickland got the better of Samoa Joe to claim the World Championship for the first time. Earlier in the night, Will Ospreay beat Bryan Danielson, and Willow Nightingale captured the TBS Championship with a win over Julia Hart.
The event also saw the return of Jack Perry who helped the Young Bucks win the World Tag Team Championship. Perry had been absent from AEW since September 2023 after getting into a backstage altercation with CM Punk at All In. While Perry was suspended and eventually returned to action via a short spell with NJPW, Punk was quickly fired and later signed with WWE.
