AEW Tag Team Title Match Made For All In Texas
The AEW Tag Team Title will be on the line at All In Texas as The Hurt Syndicate faces a serious threat to their championship.
MJF is a scumbag and revels in being exactly that. The weaselly star has ingratiated himself into The Hurt Syndicate in recent weeks with long-term aspirations of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP helping him to reclaim the AEW World Championship.
MJF used the fact that AEW Grand Slam Mexico was taking place to target beloved Mexican star Mistico in recent weeks, with the two men facing off in Arena Mexico.
The Salt of the Earth – decked out in the red, white, and blue of the USA – tried to humiliate his opponent during the bout and eventually got himself disqualified when he kicked Mistico low right in front of the referee. After the bout, things took an ugly turn as The Hurt Syndicate engulfed Mistico, allowing MJF to unmask the star and then put the mask on himself.
Bandido, Templario, and Titan showed up to distract The Hurt Syndicate, allowing Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey to lay out Benjamin and Lashley with missile dropkicks from the top rope.
The Hurt Syndicate Accepts AEW Title Challenge
Now, on the June 25th edition of Dynamite, Knight and Bailey – collectively known as JetSpeed – picked up a win over AR Fox and Ricochet after the bald star abandoned Fox during the bout. Afterwards, Knight and Bailey noted that the AEW Tag Team Title had been held hostage for too long, which brought out The Hurt Syndicate, who wiped JetSpeed out.
After the assault, MVP noted he’d be only too happy to allow JetSpeed to challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at All In Texas if they’re able to compete.
