AEW Tag Team Given Official New Name
Two AEW stars have officially been given a tag team name as they partnered up again at Fyter Fest.
There is almost no end to talent in The Don Callis Family, and that expanded at AEW Fyter Fest when Hechicero aligned with the group. Hechicero teamed with Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat Bandido and The Outrunners on the show.
The Protostar Fletcher and The Alpha Takeshita have been the crown jewels in Don Callis’ Family, and they teamed with Josh Alexander at Double Or Nothing to pick up the win over The Paragon – Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, and Roderick Strong. Fletcher and Takeshita also teamed at Grand Slam Australia earlier in 2025, but they fell to defeat on that occasion against the dream team of Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.
Protoshita Is Now Official In AEW
Thanks to their alliance, Fletcher has referred to himself and Takeshita as “Protoshita” on social media, and now AEW has confirmed that is the duo’s official name as a tag team. The graphic for their match at Fyter Fest listed their team as “Protoshita & Hechicero.”

Kyle Fletcher recently failed to capture the TNT Championship when his title match with Adam Cole ended in a disqualification win for Cole.
