AEW Tag Team To Face Each Other In Full Gear Title Match
One AEW tag team could be on the verge of complete destruction as both its members will have to face off at Full Gear.
AEW recently announced it was introducing yet another new title into the company, the AEW National Championship. The announcement caused some controversy with wrestlers in the NWA trying to claim Tony Khan was trying to steal their titles’ lineage.
The inaugural holder of the new title will be crowned at Full Gear on November 22nd in a Casino Gauntlet match. Two men start the bout, and at set intervals, a new person joins the fray. While an early entry is not good for a Royal Rumble match in WWE, being first could pay dividends in the Casino Gauntlet, as the match can end at any time.
The Hurt Syndicate To Face Off At AEW Full Gear
On the November 19th edition of Dynamite, Bobby Lashley faced off with Ricochet to determine the number one entrant in the Casino Gauntlet at Full Gear. Lashley decimated his opponent, hitting a huge spear to win the bout and gain a huge advantage in his quest to become AEW National Champion.
Later in the night, Lashley’s Hurt Syndicate partner, Shelton Benjamin, was in action when he faced Speedball Mike Bailey for the chance to be the second entrant in the Casino Gauntlet. A messy ending, which saw the referee pull his count despite Bailey not kicking out, still saw Benjamin pick up the victory. This means that Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley will have to kick off the Casino Gauntlet against each other.
However, if The Hurt Syndicate is truly on the same page, a “fingerpoke of doom” moment could see either Lashley or Benjamin walk away with the AEW National Championship before anybody else gets the chance to enter the match.
