AEW Stars Share Thoughts After Saraya’s Exit

AEW stars have reacted to Saraya’s surprise departure.

On March 26th, Saraya announced that she had parted ways with AEW after over two years with the promotion. The former Women’s World Champion explained that while she had an “amazing” time in the company, she didn’t see anywhere she would fit into the current storylines.

The star last competed for the promotion back in October when she was on the losing end of a Four-Way match to determine the Number 1 Contender for the Women’s World Title

When announcing she was leaving, the former Outcasts leader said she would be stepping back from wrestling for now and would instead focus her energy on her new ‘Rulebreakers’ podcast which launched earlier this week.

Several stars have commented on her departure, with Dustin Rhodes saying simply “Love you Saraya.”

Britt Baker, her first opponent in AEW, also sent a heart to the departing star.

Saraya’s Exit Caused Surprise In AEW

Saraya’s departure from AEW was a shock to many in the company. It has been reported by Fightful Select that there were only a select few who knew in advance that the split was coming.

Saraya’s management team is quoted as saying “I can confirm we’ve mutually agreed to part ways. Her services have been fulfilled and we are parting on excellent terms” before confirming that the English star is now a free agent. That means that, if she chose to, Saraya could return to WWE at any time. The star worked fo the promotion for over a decade under the name of Paige.
