AEW Star’s Health Status After Horrifying Moment At Worlds End
At AEW Worlds End, a rough spot during a match left the fans holding their breath for a while.
In the semi-finals of the Continental Classic tournament, Jon Moxley faced Kyle Fletcher. Both hard-hitters gave it their all before Moxley emerged as the victor.
However, it was not before, during one of his offensive moves, that Mox dropped his Australian counterpart on his head.
Both superstars were exchanging blows on a turnbuckle when Moxley hit Fletcher with an avalanche cutthroat suplex. Fletcher fell flush on his head, which could have been catastrophic for his neck and spine, by extension.
Despite the concerned look on the audience’s faces, Fletcher finished the match, falling to Moxley’s rear naked choke hold.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer discussed the former AEW TNT Champion’s current condition, claiming he was ‘fine.’
Fletcher appears to be fine after being dropped on his head in the Moxley match last night.
After the match, wrestling veteran William Regal tore into the spot in a tweet on X while recounting the death of Mitsuharu Misawa in 2009 from his neck problems.
Regal briefly appeared in All Elite Wrestling, managing the Blackpool Combat Club, comprising Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. The faction went on to become the Death Riders in 2024.
AEW Shares The Extent Of Jon Moxley’s Injury From Worlds End
The AEW Worlds End match between Jon Moxley and Kyle Fletcher was brutal, with neither of them willing to relinquish their advantage.
Fletcher dominated the early part of the match, with one spot seeing him target Moxley’s left leg by trapping it between the ring and steel steps.
Fletcher then dropkicked the stairs, causing an injury to Moxley’s leg. When trying to remove the stairs, Moxley tripped and landed face-first on top of the steel, chipping his tooth in the process.
AEW’s Instagram account shared a photo of the extent of his injury, which also showed bruises on his face, in addition to the chipped tooth.
