AEW Stars Give Candid Answer About Potential WWE Jump

Tony Khan AEW

Two AEW stars have given their thoughts on a possible jump to WWE in the future.

In recent months, Penta, Rey Fenix, Aleister Black, Rusev, Ricky Saints, and Blake Monroe have followed Jade Cargill and CM Punk across wrestling’s great divide, leaving AEW for WWE.

But could a real-life couple be next?

Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo Treated Well In AEW

Appearing at a panel at Wrestleverse Fest, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo were asked if they’d consider heading to WWE in the future, and Guevara was keeping tight-lipped due to their contractual status with AEW:

Well, the thing is, we are contracted to AEW and they treat us very, very well and very fine. So we are in AEW and, yeah.

Tay Melo explained why the idea of a wrestling war between WWE and AEW is silly and said she’s grateful for what both companies have done for her:

I feel like it’s a little silly, just the whole war. I love wrestling, you know? I don’t care if it’s AEW, TNA, Ring of Honor—I don’t care. I love wrestling. I love to be entertained. I love to see everybody doing their best and living their dreams. It is what it is.

I don’t think this whole thing with, like, a war is really in between wrestlers. I love AEW. It’s literally changed my life so much. WWE bringing me to this stage—I’m grateful for both companies. And now we’re representing AEW, which I’m so proud of, and we’re going to continue to do so.

Tay Melo recently returned to AEW TV after more than two years on the sidelines. Melo rejoined her tag team partner Anna Jay to help her overcome Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.
