AEW Star Open To WWE Return When Current Deal Ends

One AEW star has revealed they only have a matter of months left on their current deal and won’t rule out a return to WWE.

Saraya joined AEW in September 2022, going on to have her first match in five years in the company. The former WWE Divas Champion was forced to retire from in-ring competition due to an injury suffered in December 2017 during a match featuring Sasha Banks – now best known as AEW’s Mercedes Mone.

Speaking to TMZ, Saraya was asked when she’ll be returning to the ring and revealed she’s ready to go and would love to finally face off with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone due to their unfortunate history together:

I don’t know, I’m ready to go now. It’s just trying to find the best way to introduce me again. I think I would love to go against Mercedes [Mone], I think that’s important. She ended my career in a way, it’s wrestling, it happens but coming back it feels like it’d be really great to face off against her.

Will Saraya Switch AEW For WWE?

Saraya was then asked if she thinks she’d ever return to WWE and seemed very open to that possibility:

Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there, they made me, they gave me my career and I’m just appreciative of that. One day, who knows? I love my time in AEW though. My contract’s up with AEW in September so maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not, I don’t know.
