AEW Star Wins First TV Match In Over Two Years

AEW logo over blurred MVP

It was Maximum Carnage in AEW on Dynamite and that packed show saw one star win their first TV match in well over two years.

MVP made his debut for AEW back at Grand Slam and soon reunited with Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley making up three-quarters of the former Hurt Business faction from WWE.

The Hurt Syndicate have set their sights on the AEW World Tag Team Championship held by Private Party and that led to a huge trios match taking place at Dynamite Maximum Carnage.

MVP made his in-ring debut in AEW as he joined Lashley and Benjamin in taking on Private Party and Mark Briscoe. That match quickly turned into a demolition for The Hurt Syndicate as they dominated with Shelton Benjamin dropping Quen with a super kick to pick up a win for his team.

That victory was MVP’s first on TV since he defeated former Hurt Business member Cedric Alexander all the way back in June 2022 on WWE Raw.

What Else Happened At AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage?

Jon Moxley needed the full force of the Death Riders to escape with his AEW World Championship as he put the title on the line against Powerhouse Hobbs in the main event.

HOOK finally got his hands on Christian Cage in the ring but The Patriarchy interfered which led to a disqualification. Samoa Joe made his shock return to AEW to make the save for HOOK.

The Casino Gauntlet match was won by a shocked Toni Storm meaning that Storm will now get a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at Grand Slam Australia.
