AEW Star Wants Match With Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley is a man in demand.

Back on October 3rd, it was reported that Bobby Lashley had signed with AEW. The star had been a free agent since letting his WWE deal expire in August, despite the company making him an offer to stay.

Lashley landing in AEW is big news given he’s a former World Champion, and people within the company are already talking.

During a new interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, former AEW World Trios Champion Brody King talked up Lashley’s arrival, teasing that he’s not scared of a challenge.

“I’ve never met him, I’ve never had any contact with him, but I’m looking forward to maybe one day standing across the ring from him. I’m never scared of a big challenge.”

Bobby Lashley’s AEW Debut Pushed Back

Despite having a deal in place, the former WWE Champion is yet to debut in AEW to the surprise of many fans. But despite the delays, his debut is coming.

It was reported after WrestleDream that AEW felt the event had enough big matches and segments that Bobby Lashley wasn’t needed. Instead, the company is waiting to debut the star until it can stand out.

Lashley’s former teammate Shelton Benjamin is set to make his in-ring AEW debut on the October 16th episode of Dynamite. Incidentally, the match will be against Lio Rush who once managed the All-Mighty in WWE.
