AEW Star To Get One Last Shot At Mariah May
A popular AEW star had some fighting words for Mariah May.
Mariah May has been on a near-unstoppable run since winning the Women’s Title at All In, however, she hasn’t quite been unbeatable.
At Battle of the Belts XII, May lost a World Championship eliminator to Anna Jay, which earned Jay a shot at the Women’s Title. Fast forward to the November 2nd episode of Collision and Jay got her shot, although it ultimately ended in defeat.
Despite that, Jay is determined to get her hands on the Women’s Title, and she’s got an interesting idea to make sure it happens.
Anna Jay Lays Down Mariah May Challenge
On the November 9th episode of Collision, AEW aired a recap of the match between Jay and May from a week earlier before the champion gave a not-too-kind take on the women’s division. May said her prime is being wasted by a lack of competition, and she’s surrounded by the “weakest, saddest little sh*ts she’d ever seen.”
In response, Anna Jay had an idea. Jay said that she hadn’t just competed with May, but she’d beaten her, pointing out she’s the only woman to do so since All In. The star then challenged her to one last match on Dynamite, but there would be some stipulations.
Jay said she wanted a No Disqualification match and if she loses she won’t challenge May for the Women’s Title again.
Elsewhere on Collision, Daniel Garcia laid down his own challenge to Jack Perry. The pair will now meet at Full Gear for the TNT Championship.
