AEW Star Thrilled By Overlooked WWE Draft Pick
One AEW star admits they’re thrilled by one WWE Draft pick that might have been missed as it didn’t take place on Raw.
Bianca Belair was the number one overall draft pick when the WWE Draft kicked off on SmackDown. Several major stars were not eligible to be drafted on that show and they had to wait until Raw in Kansas City.
Stephanie McMahon kicked off night two of the draft as she revealed the first-round picks. Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser were drafted as a unit as Raw’s first pick one week after Imperium finally kicked out Giovanni Vinci. SmackDown’s first pick of the night was Jade Cargill with Raw then taking Damage CTRL and SmackDown drafting Kevin Owens.
In total, there were 24 picks made on Raw with 49 WWE stars affected. However, after the show ended, several supplemental draft picks were made with the red brand swelling its numbers some more. The only loss to the NXT brand during that supplemental draft was Dijak joining Raw.
AEW’s Keith Lee Happy For Old NXT Rival After WWE Draft
One fan noted on social media that he was sure current AEW star Keith Lee would be thrilled about his old rival’s move, to which Lee responded:
I am thrilled for his fights no matter where they may be. He’s a specimen.

Keith Lee and Dijak had a storied rivalry in NXT that culminated in a winner-take-all match for the NXT and North American Championships which Lee won in July 2020.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champion has been missing from AEW for four months due to injury. However, Keith Lee did make an accidental cameo on WWE TV over WrestleMania 40 weekend.
