AEW Star Suffers UCL Tear, Out Indefinitely
One AEW star is out of action indefinitely after suffering a serious arm injury.
Like every wrestling company, AEW has no shortage of injury issues it is suffering from. Will Ospreay could be out of action for up to a year with serious neck issues that have forced him out of action since Forbidden Door. That show was also the last time fans saw Swerve Strickland in action as he was forced to miss time from the ring due to an injured knee.
Strickland was written off TV due to a vicious attack by AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada. Immediately after that, Wardlow made his shock return, where he took out Prince Nana. However, Mr Mayhem immediately injured himself in that attack and could be out for another eight months.
Penelope Ford Out Of Action In AEW
Now, another injury issue has cropped up as Penelope Ford has revealed on Fright Night Dynamite that she has suffered a UCL tear and will be out of action indefinitely. Ford was due to be part of the tournament to crown the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, where she was set to team with Megan Bayne. Ford and Bayne were due to clash with Anna Jay and Tay Melo in the first round.
That tournament kicked off on Dynamite with the Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, advancing to the semi-finals with a win over Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata.
