AEW Star Slams Dynamite Match As Disrespectful

Trent and Don Callis blur AEW logo

One AEW star is not happy after a big loss on Dynamite and thinks it was disrespectful that they were even booked in the first place.

As Don Callis wrapped his tentacles around Kazuchika Okada to try and take out Kenny Omega once and for all at All In Texas, a familiar face returned to AEW.

Kota Ibushi is still a loyal friend to Kenny Omega and made his comeback to AEW, looking to try and do Omega a favour by dealing with The Don Callis Family. That led to Ibushi taking on Trent Beretta on the June 25th edition of Dynamite.

In his first AEW match in 19 months, Ibushi picked up the win and was instantly confronted by Kazuchika Okada. Okada and Ibushi will now meet on the 300th edition of Dynamite, four years after their G1 Climax final ended in serious injury to Ibushi.

But in a big week for Trent Beretta personally, it seems he could have done without having to wrestle on TV.

Taking to social media, Beretta referenced his recent wedding and honeymoon as he noted it was disrespectful of AEW to even book him:
