AEW Star Shows Welts After Husband’s Back Chop At Worlds End
At AEW Worlds End, a real-life wrestling couple found itself in a conflicted space.
One of the matches on the card was Mixed Nuts Mayhem, where the team of Toni Storm, Roderick Strong, and The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Mark Briscoe) fought the Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir, and Daniel Garcia).
The match was indeed mayhem, as it was fought under no specified rules and could see intergender action, too, which actually came to pass.
At one point in the bout, Storm and Castagnoli went at each other, which ended with Toni eating the Giant Swing.
In the match, Marina Shafir and Roderick Strong briefly went head-to-head as well. The face-off generated massive pop, as the real-life couple looked at each other in disbelief.
Shafir was the first to strike, as she almost knocked Strong’s head off with a straight kick. Strong retaliated with a vicious chop to Shafir’s back when she teased the crowd.
Garcia then shoved Strong, who bumped into Shafir as both superstars stumbled out of the ring.

The AEW Mixed Nuts Mayhem match turned out in favor of the babyfaces after Mark Briscoe hit Wheeler Yuta with his finisher for a successful pinfall.
Overall, the match was a hard-hitting one, with the Death Riders dominating most of it. The heels worked in tandem, taking out one opponent after another.
After the fight, Marina Shafir took to X to show the bruise on her back left by her husband’s chop, showing a visible print of his palm. Shafir clearly did not take the attack kindly, judging by the tweet’s caption.

The leader of the Death Riders, Jon Moxley, won the AEW Continental Championship by defeating Kazuchika Okada in the final.
