AEW Star Rushed To Ambulance After Serious Injury
There is serious concern in AEW after one star had to be taken by ambulance out of the arena after suffering a major injury.
Dynamite Title Tuesday almost ended in truly explosive fashion as Darby Allin produced a Molotov cocktail, threatening to light it and finish off the Death Riders once and for all, before he was tackled to the ground by security.
Thankfully, Daily’s Place was not burnt to the ground, and one night after that show, AEW’s spiritual home played host to Collision Homecoming, which will air on October 11th.
However, there is some seriously bad news coming out of that show.
Serious Injury Causes Concern In AEW
That taping saw Kota Ibushi face off with Josh Alexander of The Don Callis Family. Ibushi is said to have fallen from the top rope to the outside of the ring when his leg apparently gave way. Ibushi failed to make it back in the ring by the count of ten to give Alexander the win.
Kenny Omega then made his way to ringside to fight off The Don Callis Family and tend to his friend. Kota Ibsuhi was then stretchered straight out of the arena into a waiting ambulance. Tony Khan then appeared to thank the fans for their patience and remind everyone how dangerous pro wrestling is.
There is no confirmation as to what Ibushi’s injury is, but PWInsider has reported that there is talk in AEW that he has suffered a broken femur.
This injury could be a serious setback for Ibushi, who previously spent several years out of the ring following a serious health issue and a major falling out with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
