AEW Star Gives Candid Response After Tribute Paid On WWE TV

One AEW star has responded after their signature move was pulled out in a match on WWE Raw.

On Raw in a triple threat match that was part of the Intercontinental Title number one contender tournament, Xavier Woods pulled out a familiar-looking move as he took Pete Dunne for a spin. The move didn’t turn out to be successful for Woods, however, as Dunne picked up the win to move one step closer to the Intercontinental Championship.

When former WWE star Tyler Breeze notified Claudio Castagnoli of the move being pulled out, the AEW star responded on social media by noting that he has nothing but respect for Xavier Woods:

A lotta respect… @AustinCreedWins

Claudio Castagnoli Wins First AEW Gold

Since joining Tony Khan’s company, Claudio Castagnoli has captured the ROH World Championship twice but had yet to win any AEW championships but that all changed at All In.

Castagnoli teamed with his Blackpool Combat Club partner Wheeler Yuta as well as PAC to win the Trios Championship in a four-team ladder match that also featured The Patriarchy, The Bang Bang Gang, and The House of Black.

The Swiss Superman was back in the ring at the end of the show to celebrate after Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Championship from Swerve Strickland in an emotionally charged main event.
