One AEW star has been forced to console worried fans after their appearance on Dynamite.

There were plenty of surprises to be had on the January 7th edition of Dynamite. Former TNA star Jake Something debuted in Tony Khan’s company under a new name, further swelling the ranks of the never-ending Don Callis Family.

Andrade El Idolo made his shock return as well, weeks after his original re-debut was quickly aborted after it became clear WWE had a non-compete clause in place after they fired the star. El Idolo also reunited with Don Callis as The Family took out The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and JetSpeed.

The show also saw an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match take place as Jon Moxley clashed with The Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin. If Benjamin had won the match, he’d have earned a title shot, but Moxley picked up the victory.

Shelton Benjamin Not Crying On AEW Dynamite

Most of the talk about the match came from Benjamin’s entrance, where fans online thought he looked very emotional. Such was the ferocity of these claims that Shelton Benjamin has now taken to social media to set the record straight, as he wrote:

Thanks for the concern Fans you are greatly appreciated but, i dont do emotional, I hurt Hurt people. however before i enter an arena i do pour water on my head that tends to drip.
