Huge AEW Star Allegedly Ready To Return After 10-Month Absence

Britt Baker & Penelope Ford AEW logo blur

Britt Baker has been absent from AEW for ten months.

She was last seen on AEW television on November 13, 2024, when she defeated Penelope Ford on an episode of Dynamite. This match marked her most recent in-ring appearance before she went on an extended absence from the company’s televised events. Since that match, she has not been featured on AEW programming, leading to widespread speculation and questions about her status within the promotion.

While there were rumors of backstage issues and reported disagreements involving other talents, All Elite President Tony Khan clarified she is still under contract and that the company has not had any conversations about her departure. Khan explained that AEW has a large roster and sometimes must rotate talent, which means not everyone is featured at all times. According to Khan, The Doctor’s absence is more about booking decisions rather than any physical injuries or personal issues.

Despite being absent from AEW’s main shows for nearly ten months, Britt Baker has maintained her physical condition and expressed interest in returning when the creative opportunity arises. Reports indicate she has been involved in other projects, including training in martial arts and stunts, to become a more well-rounded performer.
