AEW Star Ready For Surprising Change
It seems an on-screen partnership in AEW has come to an end as one star now has championship gold in their sights.
For months, Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander have been at war in AEW under the direction of Stokely Hathaway who initiated Statlander turning on her friend.
As a result, Statlander and Hathaway remained as a unit as the former TBS Champion went to war with Willow Nightingale. That culminated in a brutal Chicago Street Fight at All Out which Kris Statlander won.
Since the end of that feud, Willow Nightingale has already set her sights on challenging Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Title and now it seems Statlander wants gold as well.
AEW Collision Spoilers Ahead
The AEW Collision tapings for October 5th saw Kris Statlander interrupt a backstage promo from TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and Kamille. Later in the show, Statlander picked up a win against Zoey Lynn before Mone and Kamille appeared with Kamille laying out Kris Statlander.
Now Fightful Select has reported that after asking about Statlander’s apparent change of direction given she has been a heel on-screen for months, the response from AEW sources was that her partnership with Stokely Hathaway is now over.
Hathaway was spotted watching Private Party’s match on Dynamite signalling a partnership between those parties could be in the works.
