Popular AEW Star Pulled From Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Event
An AEW star will miss an upcoming indie booking.
On March 14 and 15, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will head to Windsor, Ontario, for its Mayhem weekend. In the main event, Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE, will challenge Thomas Latimer for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
The likes of Gisele Shaw, PCO, Kylie Rae, Billy Gunn, KUSHIDA, and more are also advertised to appear.
However, one star who won’t be involved is Harley Cameron. Although previously advertised, it’s been announced by MLPWrestling that the AEW star will miss the event due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
“UPDATE: We’re sad to announce that due to unforseen circumstances, @harleycameron_ is not able to make #MLPWrestling MAYHEM Weekend. Stay tuned for the replacement announcement in one hour at 12pm!”
It was later announced that Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Serena Deeb would be joining the weekend.
Harley Cameron Tipped For AEW World Title
Following their battle at Grand Slam Australia, Mercedes Mone claimed Harley Cameron is now on her way to the World Championship.
Cameron has enjoyed an incredible start to her wrestling career, which has seen her become one of the most popular stars on the AEW roster despite only wrestling in her first match in 2022.
Although Cameron was unable to beat Mone and claim the TBS Championship, the champion said she’s “phenomenal,” adding she’s “an entertainer in every sense of the word.” Cameron was most recently in action on the February 26 edition of Dynamite, where she beat Deonna Purrazzo.
