AEW Star Pulled From Major Show With No Explanation

Swerve Strickland kicks Kyle Fletcher AEW

Eyebrows have been raised after one AEW star and a current champion has been pulled from a match on an upcoming major show.

Kyle Fletcher has done well for himself since joining AEW and linking up with the weaselly Don Callis. Fletcher had made his name as a tag team star as part of Aussie Open but since his partner Mark Davis has been injured, Fletcher has found success as a singles star.

At ROH Final Battle in December 2023, Kyle Fletcher won a six-man elimination match to capture the vacant Ring of Honor Television Title. Most recently Fletcher was in tag team action on the 15th of May edition of AEW Dynamite as he teamed with Jeff Cobb in a loss to the Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley.

AEW’s Kyle Fletcher Pulled From AAA Show

Kyle Fletcher was originally meant to be part of a trios match at AAA’s Triplemania 32 show on June 15th in Tijuana, Mexico. Instead, he has been replaced by Blake Christian who will now team with CIMA and Nick Wayne against the trios teams of Komander, Laredo Kid, and Octagon Jr. as well as D’Luxe, Destiny, and Noisy Boy.

AAA confirmed the change on social media but no reason has been given why the Australian star has been pulled from the show. AEW have a live Collision show on the same night as the AAA show but no matches have been announced for that yet. Later in the summer, AEW announced a new residency for its Saturday show on the path to All In.
