AEW Star Could Be Pulled From Continental Classic
An AEW star is facing several weeks out of action.
On the November 30th edition of Collision, Juice Robinson lost out to Will Ospreay in his first match of the Continental Classic. Unfortunately for Robinson, it may have also been his last in the 2024 edition of the tournament.
Following the taping, it was reported that the star had been spotted on crutches, although details on the apparent injury remained thin on the ground.
Robinson spent several months out of the ring earlier in the year thanks to a back injury.
Change Likely For AEW Continental Classic
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Robinson was awaiting the results of x-rays, but he believes his foot is broken. Meltzer surmised that if this is the case, Robinson will be pulled from the tournament, although it’s unclear how the company will reshuffle the tournament schedule in response.
“He had X-Rays and he had not had the results back as of yesterday, but he was fearing a broken foot. We’ll find out Wednesday, I guess,
I would think that if he’s out (of the tournament), they would have to make an announcement,” Meltzer continued. “And there’s a bunch of different ways they can go about it. They can just have him forfeit the rest of his matches and then readjust everything for the people that he was going to beat.”
They could do that, they could put somebody in as a replacement. Those are basically your choices,”
Robinson is currently part of the Gold League alongside Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, and Ricochet.
The tournament is set to continue on the December 4th edition of Dynamite, with Brody King vs. Claudio Castagnoli and Shelton Benjamin vs. Kyle Fletcher announced ahead of time.
