AEW Star Praises Vince McMahon’s Impact On Wrestling

Vince McMahon

An AEW star has shared their thoughts on Vince McMahon.

In January 2024, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, alleging sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Shortly after the filing was made, McMahon stepped down from his role with the TKO Group, while Laurinaitis had already left WWE.

While McMahon continued to deny wrongdoing, this was followed by a second lawsuit in October. That time, McMahon was named alongside, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO alleging that those named were complicit in the sexual exploitation of children by former ring announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr.

The Janel Grant lawsuit is set to resume on December 12th, but the Ring Boys case has been paused until the Maryland Supreme Court makes a judgement on the Child Victims Act.

Bobby Lashley Gives Thoughts On Vince McMahon

Over the course of his career, Bobby Lashley has worked for Vince McMahon on two occasions, and he remains grateful to the disgraced former WWE boss for giving him an opportunity.

During a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Lashley discussed McMahon’s impact on the wrestling industry, even if he’s “going through a whole bunch” in 2024.

“You have to have people give you that pull up. That’s what I try to do with people right now. At the same time, I always think of the people that gave me the opportunity. Yeah, Vince is going through a whole bunch right now. We understand that, but Vince McMahon has personally fed thousands of thousands of people and people don’t understand that.

When you have a business like he created, there are so many people right now that, the amount of mouths that he fed and kids that he put through college and houses that he’s buying. There is so much and people don’t understand that.

Yes, there are a lot of bad things going on right now, but because of that business, we have so many people who are able to do things that they probably never had an opportunity to do,”

During the same interview, Bobby Lashley revealed that Dan Lambert played a big role in his decision to sign with AEW. The former World Champion said he’d reached out to Lambert after leaving WWE to get his opinion on Tony Khan.
