AEW Star Powerhouse Hobbs Back In The Gym After Surgery [Video]

Powerhouse Hobbs and Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite

Powerhouse Hobbs has started his journey back to AEW.

On the April 24th episode of Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP Heavyweight Title, but his night ended in disaster.

In the closing stages of the clash, Hobbs was limping heavily after appearing to sustain some kind of leg injury. Even after the final bell after Moxley got the win, the star was moving anything but smoothly. It’s since been revealed that Hobbs suffered a torn patellar tendon, and quickly underwent surgery.

In a new post on social media, Hobbs can be seen working out and beginning his rehab, just three weeks after going under the knife.

AEW Star Forced To Retire

While Powerhouse Hobbs is already on the comeback trail, there was recently some much less good news for a different AEW star.

According to a recent report, Chuck Taylor has been forced to end his in-ring career after suffering a serious ankle injury. The injury had been referenced on television, as had retirement, and it’s been reported by multiple sources that the storyline is actually very real.

Taylor wrestled his final match against Trent Beretta in a parking lot brawl back in April. The star originally signed with AEW in 2019 after becoming an incredibly popular figure on the independent scene.
